London Congestion - 1960

The folks over at the Retronaut web site ran this image of traffic in London during the rail strike of 1960. For fans of golden age British cars, there's a lot to take in.

A quick glance shows a number of Rovers, small Austins and even a Daimler  - possibly a Conquest in the scrum of drivers desperate to make it their destinations in the midst of the work stoppage that affected both surface and underground rails.
